Why use Unlock PDF?
Password-protected PDFs stop casual opening, but legitimate workflows still need an unencrypted copy for editing or archival. PDFBaba unlocks files when you already know the document open password—there is no password cracking or recovery service. This respects both ethics and practicality. Uploads are deleted after about one hour, and you do not need an account. After unlocking, you can edit, split, or compress the decrypted file with other tools. If you only have permissions passwords, read the tool hints for owner-password edge cases.
Supported files & limits
One encrypted PDF plus the known open password. The default upload limit is 100MB per file; administrators can raise or lower this via server configuration. We do not crack passwords; you must already have access.
Privacy & data retention
PDFBaba is built for quick tasks: your uploads and generated downloads are kept only long enough to process your request and are automatically deleted after about one hour. We do not require signup for these tools, and we do not use your documents to train AI models. For full details on cookies, analytics, and legal terms, read our Privacy Policy.
